PERFECT FOR DIVERS!  Close to the sea, town and dive shops, you will find all the comforts of home plus some in your tropical island villa. Amenities include phone, Internet, pool, patio, maid service, new appliances, newly remodeled kitchen, cable TV, VCR, CD, stereo, newly painted interior and exterior , new king sized bed in master bedroom, and spacious rooms. Casa Roo is a great base for your vacation and the management company will promptly answer and respond to your every reasonable request. 

The lot is approximately 250 square meters (2691 sq feet) and Casa Roo itself is approximately 125 square meters (1345.5 sq feet) of construction, not including the pool and patio areas. (Should a new owner desire to do so, a very nice rooftop patio and palapa could easily be added, which would have great views of San Miguel.) A 3 meter high (approx. 9 foot) concrete privacy wall protects this property on all sides, including gated parking in the front facing Calle 5. The property also has a variety of very beautiful and well maintained trees and plants, including some small palms.

For several years, my family and friends have enjoyed diving with Dive With Martin.  The professional staff is personable and accountable.  They send out very small groups with safety minded dive masters who help you see Cozumel's underwater world and the most marine life.  Instruction and certification is available as well.  Start your morning off with breakfast at Casa Roo and be at the pier at 7:30.  We have seen beautiful sand-filled caves, colorful corals and fish, giant spotted eagle rays, sea horses, a 300 pound grouper and many more weighing 100 pounds (fishermen have harvested the big groupers I saw in the early 1980's) octopus, beautiful turtles, eels and of course incredible visibility.

After diving, get away from the heat in your air conditioned home away from home.  Wash your gear in the new scuba rinse tank and take a long deserved siesta, enjoy a dip in the pool, (con/sin bathing suits, as Casa Roo has a privacy wall), or just lounge on the patio and read a good book.

NOT A DIVER?  Visit the museum for a memorable experience.  Have lunch at Pancho's Backyard, located in Los Cinco Soles.  Shop at Los Cinco Soles, but shop away from oceanfront to find the best bargains.  Walk everywhere and get in better shape or drive around the island, stopping at Corona Playa for snorkeling, Mr. Sanchez's beach for family fun, lunch and a cervesa or margarita.  My favorite beach with ameniteis is Nachi Con Com, where you can enjoy all services, jacuzi, pool and fabulous seafood soup.  You won't want to miss the waves on the south end of the island.  Stop at Bob Marley's Restaurant/Bar on the beach, Punta Morena or Playa Benito or enjoy the seclusion of pulling off the road at a spot where no one else is playing. 

You might enjoy the ruins at San Gervasio, horseback riding along the beach or in the jungle, a ferry to the mainland, shopping and dining at Playa del Carmen, or Sunday evening music and dancing at the plaza or central area of town.  I enjoy breakfast or lunch at Sol Cabanas del Caribe on the north side of the island.  Sit outside and enjoy incredible marine life.  Stay for the day, snorkle and enjoy the beach and pool.  You will have plenty to do! 

Casa Roo is fully gated so your possessions will be very safe.  Shop at the market at San Francisco and stock your refrigerator.  You will find everything you need to prepare your own meals if you like.  Or if you would rather have dinner out, enjoy your meal at one of the fabulous local restaurants close to the house or a few short enjoyable blocks away along the ocean front 

Sleeping in each room at Casa Roo, which has been recently remodeled, is very peaceful and cool.  Rent a movie at the Calling Center; they also have telephone service, internet and money exchange facilities.  The Calling Center is located on the oceanfront between 3rd and 5th.
